Typescript with the shooting script for Krzysztof Kieślowski’s documentary film “Railway Station” (1980), produced at the Documentary and Feature Film Studio with cinematography by Witold Stok in cooperation with Jacek Latałło. The film depicts everyday life at Warsaw’s Central Station. The document specifies the film as black-and-white, 440 m in length, shot in the evening in the station’s natural interiors under difficult lighting conditions. The shooting script has a technical character: the numbered shots describe the type of framing (long shot, full shot, medium shot, close shot), duration, camera movement, and division into “100-percent” and silent footage. Central images include the main hall, platforms, tunnels, vending machines, televisions and industrial monitors, railway workers, and waiting passengers. In the final parts, the motif of camera surveillance and the work of station services appears. The typescript contains handwritten additions and corrections.
