Typescript with the commentary for Krzysztof Kieślowski’s film “The Photograph” (1968), produced for Polish Television by the Television Film Production Unit. The text contains several variants of the narrator’s opening statement for the film. In these variants, the author describes the discovery of the wartime photograph at Józef Rybicki’s exhibition, explains the circumstances of its creation (Praga, September 1944), and announces the attempt to find the two boys from the picture and learn their fates 24 years later. The typescript has the character of a working version of the commentary, as successive drafts of the same sentences, deletions, additions, and stylistic corrections are visible.
