Typescript with Krzysztof Kieślowski’s responses to the survey of the “Experience and Future” seminar concerning the socio-political and cultural situation in Poland. The text takes the form of an essay in which the author analyses, among other things, social apathy, the lack of ideals among the younger generation, inequality and privileges tied to power, discredited propaganda, the absence of responsibility among decision-makers, and the neglect of creative circles. In the later part, he formulates proposals for change: strengthening the real role of social and political organizations, ensuring transparency in public life, respecting citizens’ rights, and renewing culture. The typescript has the character of a personal diagnosis and a programme for reform, in places supplemented with the author’s handwritten additions.
