Typescript and typescript copy with a scene description for Krzysztof Kieślowski’s film “Blind Chance” (1981). The screenplay was written by Krzysztof Kieślowski. The cinematography for this film was done by Krzysztof Pakulski. The film was produced by the Tor Film Studio. The document contains a repeatedly rewritten and modified scene taking place on the streets of Łódź near Witek’s home and in the teachers’ council room, where teenage Witek overhears a conversation between the headmaster, teachers, and a young teacher about him (including comments on his grades, “leadership abilities”. and popularity among his peers). The following pages present the same scene in different versions, with numerous deletions, handwritten additions, and changes in dialogues and action descriptions, giving the document the character of a working material from the process of refining the scene and dialogues for the film. The document includes the author’s handwritten corrections and notes.
